Issue Happened

Fire is the biggest threat to conservation efforts in Way Kambas National Park due to massive poaching. Burning is the easiest way for poachers because after the fire, new shoots will appear and attract the animals.
The fire is a threat to the sustainability of the population of these animals; Sumatran elephant, Sumatran tiger, and Rhino.
Furthermore, Way Kambas National Park is also the site of illegal loggers. Way Kambas National Park is surrounded by 38 buffer villages, so access in and out of the area is very easy and still a problem that has to be solved. (https://www.mongabay.co.id/2022/07/01/tangkal-api-di-daerah-penyangga-taman-nasional-way-kambas/).
Illegal poaching has also occurred in the Halimun National Park, where people shot the bird wildly.
These issues happened because of the economic problems, which are far from the welfare figures and circumstances that pressure and force them to do so to meet their needs.
It has an impact on the quality of education for village children, on women’s equality and welfare, and also on nature conservation.

The Threat Leads
To The Opportunity

Where there is threat, there is opportunity to be found.
We believe where women and society can lead to solve the issues with all the opportunity that they have from the nature resources and be the leader of change.
With the local community, we are taking steps to heal and protect the nature by planting the plants and doing regenerative forestry around the national park.
Planting a plant means nurturing a life. One plant can grow into a tree, protecting generations to come, so we can create a healthier, greener future – one plant, one life at a time.

Plant a plant, save a life. one small step for you, one giant leaf for the planet.
